Utah Concerts!

Utah Concerts was formed to help get the word out about good (primarily indie) shows in Utah. They are less common around here than in places like Seattle, San Francisco, etc. but sometimes we get lucky.

The first list is for bigger names, and the second one is for local bands/artists. There is a surprisingly good but underrated local music scene here and I think we should all take advantage of that, and of course support them in what they do.

These lists change all the time. To get the most up-to-date information come back frequently, and of course do your own research and let us know what you find! I have also started sending out messages generally once a week with what's going on in the following two weeks. Also, you should invite all of your friends.

Most of this list came from Smithstix.com, 24tix.com, and jambase.com. However, the best way to make sure we don't miss any, especially for bands that aren't as well known, is to visit their specific websites. Please add to this list!

Disclaimer time! If you think there should be some more on here that were in fact listed on the websites I visited or whatever either I haven't heard of them (likely), I haven't checked those sites in a while, or I don't think they're within this kind of genre, which seems to be mostly indie-ish, folky, I guess.. I don't know, whatever. But yeah so bands that I don't think fit at all with that I probably won't add, but it's not because I'm a jerk (I may even like them myself), I just want this to be useful. And I mean if you want to make another group for other kinds of concerts I think that is great.

To get tickets to the bigger shows anyway, you can usually go to smithstix.com, 24tix.com, and sometimes ticketmaster.com. It seems like ticketmaster is the worst with service fees, then smithstix. Please correct me if this has changed.
